Through Play-Well TEKnologies, we provide the students the opportunity to explore mechanisms and structural design through the use of LEGO®. Develop and enhance students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills. Expose children to concepts and vocabulary of Engineering, Architecture, and Physics. Offered for some weeks. Students will learn to make crafts with different materials. It will be hands-on fun activities to build creativity and imagination of kids.
Family Discount (available for Spring and Summer Camp):
$10/week off for additional family members registering for the same week and for the whole day.
Students will play with Legos to develop addition and subtraction skills, and to develop spatial reasoning skills. At times, students will be divided into groups and compete in games.
US Arts Center offers Spring Camp and Summer Camp for students from grades K-6. Details of our activities are described below. Please register early to receive early bird discount and to reserve a spot for your child!
Art classes include drawing, sketching, painting with different medium by professional art instructors. Students will develop their creativity and drawing/painting skills through carefully designed lessons. Offered every day in the mornings.
June 18 - Aug. 24, 2018
Students will explore the vast seen and unseen world on a given subject. We will incorporate learning through listening, watching, researching, & writing. Students will employ their oral reading skills, creative expression, and dramatic voice to communicate the meaning of each script. Each student will be prepared to present their accomplishments on the final day of our 2-week session. A fun and memorable learning experience is the forecast for this class.
Daily program also includes exercise activities and fun games. When weather permits, activities will be outdoors. Offered every week.
Students participating in the Sculpture program will have the opportunity to creatively express themselves through the exploration of three-dimensional art media! One of the projects that students will work on includes a self-portrait made from different types of metal wire, metal foil, wood blocks, and a variety of other materials. Through the creation of this three-dimensional self-portrait, students represent an interest or activity that they are truly passionate about. Offered for some weeks.
