"I have been a student at US Arts for over 9 years. Now I am a senior at high school, and I plan to attend Carnegie Mellon University this fall. Though I will not pursue the fine arts as a profession in the future, I could not be the person I am without the help and mentor of the faculty and staff at US Arts. I learned many valuable lessons and life skills through the eyes of an artist, and now have profound respect and appreciation of painting and drawing..."

"After attending US Arts for several years, not only did my skills in drawing and painting improve, but also I was able to gain confidence through my artwork. I couldn't have achieved this without the welcoming teachers who were always willing to personally help students. Thus, I am very thankful of these opportunity given to me here at US Arts."

Accepted with scholarship by USC and UC Irvine
"I finished my portfolio during 10th grade and gained extra time to get everything else done for my university application. The chairs of US and Carnegie Mellon University Architecture Department were surprised by my portfolio, and said, 'your foundational skills are so strong that you can go to any top universities you want!'
Thank you mom and US Art Education Center, you helped me to realize my dream and all I learned here is brightening my future!"

Portfolio Prep for High School Students
This program is designed for high school students who would like to utilize their fine art skills and talent to enhance their college applications or for students who are planning to take AP Studio Art in high school. This course is highly intensive, focusing on building skills and producing high quality artworks to be used in the college application and/or AP fine art portfolios.
When a highly selective college evaluates applicants, they look at their SAT, GPA, achievements, commitments, and their personality. There are an overwhelming number of applicants who meet the GPA and SAT requirement. Therefore, other attributes of the applicant becomes very important (sometime decisive) factors in getting students admitted into their desired colleges. All of these colleges accept fine art as the supplementary application material, along with music recordings, performance art videos, and athletic records. A competitive fine art portfolio can showcase the achievement, commitment, and personality of the applicants to the college admissions office.
Objectives of the program:
All instructors for this program have had college level teaching experience or are currently teaching in college in U.S.
How To Start:
Arrange a free consultation with US ARTS portfolio coordinator. Please email email@example.com or call us at (703) 996-9105.
Our portfolio coordinator will review the student's artworks (which they will need to bring) and objectives, such as building a portfolio for their college application as a supplement for a non-art major or for an art related major, or preparing for AP Studio Art. We will discuss the programs we are offering to find the one which best fit the student's needs, your schedule, and advise the student on how to create high quality artwork for a competitive art portfolio.
US Arts has many years of experience helping students create their art portfolios. Our students create works that reflect the skills, quality and personality that highly competitive schools are looking for in their prospective students. In the past, many students from US Arts have used their art portfolio to increase their chances for their target schools, and have gotten into colleges such as the RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), Harvard, MIT, Stanford, U. Penn, Columbia, Williams, Carnegie Mellon, USC's Animation, Pasadena Art Center College of Design, Cal Tech, Dartmouth, UCLA's art program, UC Berkeley's Regent Scholarship, UCSD's Med Scholarship, etc.
